Frequently Asked Questions

When does Picture the Holidays with More Magic begin and end?
Picture the Holidays with More Magic begins on Tuesday, 12/1/20 and ends on Thursday, 12/31/20. During the month of December, the project can be enjoyed in a shared, classroom-style experience. It is guided by Tracey and is designed to be shared with the community of students enrolled in the project. You are encouraged to participate daily, but you can also just use the prompts on your own, at your own pace. The choice is yours. Also note that after December, the content will still be accessible in a self-paced capacity so you can always revisit at your own convenience.
Is the content the same as the original Picture the Holidays class content?
Yes and no. The 31 prompts for the 2020 offering were selected from the 2018 version, yes. And the fun and festive holiday craft videos are the same as well. The all new content includes the 5 new weekly check-in videos and the holiday photo tutorial videos to help you capture more magic through your lens!
What kind of camera should I use?
Whatever camera you've got (including your phone)! Any and every camera is welcome in the Picture Series. The whole idea is to get inspired to shoot with whatever camera is making you happy these days and above all else, to enjoy yourself.
Why offer a class during the busiest time of the year?
Because this is the time we need it the most! The intention behind Picture the Holidays with More Magic is that you slow down and savor the season. Using your camera to focus on all the little (and big) things that bring enchantment and meaning to your life will help you experience more comfort and joy throughout the holidays and beyond.
Is this a photography class?
Picture the Holidays with More Magic is a photography project but it's not a photography class. The Picture Series (Picture the Holidays included) is a series of themed photo centric prompts to encourage and inspire a consistant photography practice and in turn, a way to see (and picture) your everyday life in a whole new light. While you'll be using your camera (any camera!) as a creative tool for the prompts, technical photography lessons are not a part of the project. But you can glean some inspiration about how to capture more magic in your holiday photos with the all new photo tutorial videos offered this season.
Are refunds available if I'm not enjoying the project?
Yes. If for any reason you aren't enjoying the project, you may request a full refund.
What if I have technical difficulties?
If you are having any tech or admin issues, you can search the Teachable Knowledge Base, contact Teachable directly or email Tracey at [email protected]
